Honble: Sirs.

         I hope you will be mindfull of me
in sending a Supply of Stores. Especially a best
Batt [?] bore [?] Anchor and Cable wch were lost last Summer
on y 11th Instant. Cruising to ye Westward I tooke
a French Privateer of 16 Gunns and 150 men belonging
to Petty gwavos. I chased him up into a bay that
he could not gett from me. most of his men
deserted ye shippe and went on Shore but ye Countrey
soon tooke them all. he had an English Brigan-
-teen in Company which he had taken off ye Coast
of Pensalvania. I brought them both in to
Rhoad Island to Newport . and have delivered
them accord. to the Governrs. Order.
