Dr. Alexander LeBaron Monroe, who was a grandson of Lazarus LeBaron, and Susannah Johonnot, of Boston, daughter of Andrew and Susannah (Olivier) Johonnot, both of Huguenot descent, in a letter written in 1870, said:
"It is interesting to know that the blood of the Catholic LeBaron, the Huguenot Johonnot, both from Rochelle, France, and of Warren, the Pilgrim, from England, should so early be mixed on the shores of New England."

Je recherche des informations sur les sujets suivants :
Vers 1567, un Lebaron aurait participé à la répression contre les Protestants au service de son oncle, Blaise de Montluc gouverneur de Guyenne, il aurait embarqué dans le port de Brouage à la tête de 500 arquebusiers d'élite pour attaquer l'ile de Ré.
Il semble que "Picton" soit utilisé dans la région de La Rochelle et qu'il signifierait "Pêcheur".
Louis Pecton (1600-1700) serait-il originaire de La Rochelle ?
